The Wedding Present

Here is a list of the most common chords in easy to read tab format for those just having picked up a guitar, or want to. Cinerama are a perfect band to learn with, as they have perfected the art of the pop song without too much complicated chord trickery, or the use of obscure chords to compensate for a lack of melodic ideas.
Quick lesson on tab. It is a numeric system of interpreting chords and music in general that requires no technical knowledge at all. It is written in the format of six numbers. These represent the frets where you place your fingers. If there is an "X", this means you do not play that string. If there is "0" this means the string is played open. Left to right represents top to bottom on your guitar, IE the first number (or X) represents the bottom E string (fattest). Got it?

Solo's and picky bits are represented in tab format in the following way:

1
2.....0........0................2..............0
3.............................2....2
4..2....2...1............2...........2..2..1
5..................2..0...........................2..0..2..4..2
6

This is the intro To Your Time Starts Now, off Disco Volante. Basically numbers 1 to 6 are the strings on a guitar.Number 6 being the thick E. The other numbers represent the frets where fingers need to be to play the right note. Reading from left to right, play the individual fret positions. If two numbers are on the same vertical line play them together. (Not the case in this song. But see above for examples of chords..) All songs in tab format follow the same rules. No musical knowledge required.
